Dr. Susan Fox earned her medical degree at the University of Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. Since then, she has shared her gynecological expertise throughout many successful hospitals and health centers, such as South Miami Hospital, Westchester General Hospital, and Kendall Medical Center.
Dr. Fox holds memberships with various renowned organizations such as the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, and the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health. Her dedication to OB/GYN and preventative healthcare practices really shines through, as Dr. Fox was among the first Obstetrician Gynecologist to be trained in the use of the Implanon birth control method.

Laura Briz, ARNP
Laura Briz is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at Dr. Susan Fox’s Center for Women. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Barry University in 2005, followed by her Master’s degree from Frontier Nursing University. Laura is a certified Nurse Practitioner, specializing in Women’s Health. Backed by years of education, Laura is crucial part of the center’s team. She meets with patients and assists in everything from the process of diagnosing and treating conditions to performing routine, physical exams.
Laura is a member of two renowned organizations, the NPWH (Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health) and the AWHONN (The Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses). Her experience with Baptist Health has equipped her with the skills necessary to provide the best guidance and support to all of her patients. Each of her certifications were earned through the NCC (National Certification Corporation).
Ever since she was a young child, Laura always dreamed of becoming a nurse. She was inspired by the care and dedication she experienced firsthand by watching the nurses who treated her, as well as her family members, throughout her youth. It was their compassion and excellent bedside manner that made Laura realize she wanted to start a career in such an important and respectable field.
After years of furthering her education and gaining firsthand experience, Laura has been able to fulfill her goal and help the people around her. She especially enjoys working in Women’s care, ensuring her patients have a trusting individual to open up to about topics they may otherwise find embarrassing to discuss. As a woman, she recognizes the importance of having a dependable medical professional to confide in.
Laura is happily married and the proud mother of two children. With a seven year old son and a sixteen year old daughter, she dedicates most of her free time to spending quality time with her family. She enjoys taking her son to Karate, keeping a watchful, Nurse’s eye over him as she does with all of her patients.
