Dr. Patricia I. Ristic is a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist with over three decades of experience in women’s health, specializing in obstetrics, gynecology, and ultrasound services. With a deep commitment to medical education and patient care, Dr. Ristic has held multiple prestigious academic and clinical roles throughout her career.
Dr. Ristic earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Rush Medical School in Chicago, Illinois, after completing her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbus Medical Center, affiliated with Northwestern Medical Center in Chicago. Since then, Dr. Ristic has maintained active medical licenses in both Illinois and Florida.
Dr. Ristic has been a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine since 2002. She also served as Coordinator for Outpatient Services in Obstetrics & Gynecology, where she was instrumental in teaching Family Practice and Internal Medicine residents. Her leadership extended to co-coordinating the Obstetrics and Gynecology and Ultrasound Services for various terms at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
In her clinical practice, Dr. Ristic has served in several key positions, including as an obstetrician-gynecologist at Obstetrics & Gynecology II, Ltd., and Women’s Health Practice in Illinois. She has been involved in numerous committee activities focused on peer review, quality assurance, and risk management, contributing to the enhancement of medical standards and patient care.
Dr. Ristic’s academic contributions are well-recognized, with publications in reputable medical journals covering topics such as fertilization mechanisms, endometrial adenocarcinoma, and the role of hyperprolactinemia in obstetric care. Her research activities have spanned critical areas, including systemic lupus erythematosus and toxoplasmosis, under the guidance of renowned experts in dermatology and infectious diseases.
Throughout her career, Dr. Ristic has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Phi Kappa Phi honor society and the Dean’s List at the University of Illinois. Her commitment to continuous learning is demonstrated by her active participation in continuing medical education, with certifications covering topics from opioid abuse prevention to sepsis management.
Currently, Dr. Ristic is a valued member of the medical team at Dr. Susan Fox, DO PA, where she continues to provide exceptional care to her patients. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Ristic is dedicated to her family and personal growth, with interests that span reading, history, and informatics.
