Darren Salinger, HEC-C, MD, FACOG

Dr. Darren Salinger is a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist (FACOG) with over two decades of extensive experience in trauma, surgical, critical care, and routine patient care in obstetrics and gynecology. His distinguished career is marked by a deep commitment to ethical practice and quality care, as reflected in his certification as a Healthcare Ethics Consultant (HEC-C) by the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities.

Dr. Salinger earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1995, after completing his Bachelor of Zoology at the University of Florida. He pursued his residency and internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The George Washington University, where he was inducted into the prestigious King Kane Dodek Honor Society.

Board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2004, Dr. Salinger maintains an active and unrestricted medical license in the State of Florida. His commitment to continuous professional development is evident in his completion of the Maintenance of Certification in 2021.

Throughout his career, Dr. Salinger has held several significant leadership roles. He served as the Medical Director for the Miami Dade College PA Program and as the Assistant Program Director for the Compassionate Healthcare Family Practice Residency Program. His contributions to medical education extend to his role as an Assistant Professor at Florida International University, where he has been a faculty member since 2017.

Dr. Salinger’s expertise in healthcare ethics is underscored by his active membership in the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities and his involvement with the Ethics Committee at Homestead Hospital. He has also been recognized for his contributions to improving surgical outcomes through his role as Surgeon Co-Champion for the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program at Homestead Hospital.

Dr. Salinger’s professional journey includes service in the United States Army Reserve, where he holds the rank of Major. He has received multiple accolades for his contributions to the medical field, including the American Medical Association’s Physician’s Recognition Award, and letters of appreciation from the United States Coast Guard and the Department of State.

Currently, Dr. Salinger is a valued member of the team at Dr. Susan Fox, DO PA, where he continues to provide compassionate and expert care to his patients. His personal interests in family, exercise, ergonomics, reading, informatics, history, and cooking reflect his well-rounded approach to life and medicine.
